Join the Chicago Recorder Society on Sunday, September 21st, at 2 PM as we begin our new season, with a new name and a slightly new schedule! This season Lisette Kielson conducts us in five meetings, each filled with sight-reading sessions and preparation for three performances (dates below).
We begin our 66th Season with Lisette leading us through readings of G. Gabrieli’s double choir “O magnum mysterium”, Peter Beck’s arrangement of “Gaudete” (SATBB), Lully’s “Chaconne des Africains” (nSATB) and finally “My Bonny Boy” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, for recorder orchestra. (Whew!) For those who want a sneak peek or to get a head start on practicing (optional!), this music is now available on the website (here).
More music will follow at 4 PM, after Lisette’s program. See you on the 21st!
Meeting time and location information is found here. Check out our latest newsletter here!
