Our annual Holiday Concert approaches on December
15. With all of our other plans for this holiday season,
let’s not neglect our annual Yuletide recital!
Please let Mark Dawson or Ben Eisenstein know if you
would like to perform, and provide the name of the
pieces, the composer, and the names of the members of
your group. As always a variety of music is welcome.
The next meeting of the Chicago Chapter ARS will be on November 17, 2013. Our music director, Lisette Kielson, will prepare us for our December holiday performance at the library and will continue her survey of “Music Thru the Ages”.
Details are in our latest newsletter which can be found at November 2013
See you there!
It was with sadness that we learned the news about Ann Greene. George Greene and his family plan a memorial gathering and open house for Ann’s friends and relatives Saturday, December 14, noon to 4 PM, at the Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in Schaumburg, 1901 East Woodfield Road. The restaurant is just south of Woodfield Mall in the Streets of Woodfield shopping center, near the corner of Higgins and Route 53 (I-290). Bring your recorders, krumhorns, and loud band instruments, and a viol or lute if you have one, plus stands and any music you would like to play. “I can’t think of a nicer way to pay tribute to a fellow musician,” George says. Please let George know by e-mailing him. If you don’t have his e-mail, e-mail thru the contact us and we will forward it to George.
Check out what we did at the last meeting, and see what’s planned for the next one!

In case you missed the meeting, we have the opportunity for our members to play at several events. The first is at the Harold Washington Library on Dec 13th where we will play holiday music. The second is on April 27th where we will be playing a transcription of Bohemian Rhapsody.
If you would like to play at either of these events, sign up at the next meeting or send an e-mail to Ben Eisenstein or Mark Dawson.
Also, please signup to provide food or drink at one or more meetings. Plenty of opportunities there!
