Pasticcio on September 18!
We open our 2016-2017 season on Sunday, September 18 at 2 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Lisette Kielson returns for her fourth season as our music director. This year’s theme: pasticcio, which means, “a work or style produced by borrowing fragments, ingredients, or motifs from various sources.”

Next Meeting, Baroque Music of Jewish Composers, October 18th
Coming in October, on the 18th, Andrew Schultze returns, this time to lead us in music composed by Jewish musicians from the Baroque era.
The meeting will be at at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2012 West Dickens, Chicago. Enter the front door of the parish building west of the church and go to the large fellowship hall on the right.
Our October newsletter is now available. Included is a tribute to Tom Zajac, a musician who had many ties to the Chicago early music community.

Welcome back from Summer and to a New Season
Labor Day is approaching and now it is time to turn our thoughts to the new season. We are welcoming back Lisette Kielson as Music Director. She has a great year of programs planned for us. Details are in our monthly newsletter, which you can read by following the link below.

April 19th Monthly Meeting
Our March meeting at the Oak Park Library featured some of the children from Roosevelt Middle School in River Forest and Longfellow Elementary in Oak Park. We had a lot of fun listening to them and hearing them play. Thank you, Pam Wiese and Mona Mann for arranging this.
On April 19th at 2 PM we will return to our usual location for our monthly meeting at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2012 West Dickens, Chicago.
Lisette Kielson will be directing. No doubt we will be full of energy after Tish’s wonderful workshop the day before!, and so we will celebrate and honor Alice Maguire, playing her composition that won the chapter’s Composition Competition. Also at the meeting, we will decide whether we would like to perform a couple of pieces at the May Meeting’s Spring Concert and/or perform in June at Make Music Chicago. The performances will comprise of music from the October Meeting, “Klezmer, Tango,” and the “Greatest Hits” from the January Meeting.
